Competition Specifics

- Media: No photos or videos are to be taken during the show
- Competitor entry fee: Available to purchase in 2025
- Music to be between 2 min 15 s and 2 min 45 sec (groups must be between 2 min 45 sec and 3 min 15 sec)

Competition Rules & T&C's
- Competitors must not have competed at a Semi-pro or Professional level in any other competition.
- Competitors who have previously one their division in this competition must enter the division above this year (or Showcase).
- All divisions are open to any gender.
- We do not allow "levelling down" in this competition. We aim to run a fair, even competition where performers are competiting against others of a similar level. If competition organisers or judges believe you are levelling down you will not be eligible to place.
- Performers who have won an amateur division of another competition are only eligible to enter the Showcase division of this competition.
- Competitors only are allowed backstage.
- During rehearsals, performers may bring a coach or support person to watch them.
- Competitors believed to be under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs during the showcase will be immediately disqualified with no reimbursement of moneys already paid.
- Competitors who's costume/music/moves are deemed inapropriate for our all age family friendly event will be disqualified and your routine may be stopped immediately with no monies refunded.
- Competitors found to be defaming the competition will be banned from attending current and future competitions.
- Competitors agree that competition organisers have the right to use photos and videos online and in any advertising.
- Human props are not allowed.
- Music must be emailed to cherie@beachfitdance.com no later than 2 weeks prior to competition. Music must be sent as an attachment in the form of a .wav or .mp4 file (no dropbox/onedrive links permitted).
- If judges or competition organisers believe competitors are performing at a higher level than the division they have entered, competitors will be allowed to finish their performance but will be inelligable to place
- Not permitted:
- Heels.
- G-strings, pasties or nudity of any kind.
- Erotic moves
- PG level and above course language and themes.
- Smoke machines.
- Glitter, liquid or mess of any kind.
- Props that take longer than 2 minutes to set up by 2 people.
- Itac or similar grip aid on the pole.
- Permitted:
- Shoes such as sneakers, ballet shoes etc.
- Props that can be set up in under 2 minutes by 2 people.
- Dry hands/sky high/dancing dust grip aid applied directly to the pole.
- Shaving cream, hairspray type grip aid applied directly to the body.
Division Requirements

Beginner – First time competitor or regular competitor who does not train intermediate or advanced level moves.
Intermediate – Must enter this division if you’ve won Beginner previously.
Advanced – Must enter this division if you’ve won Intermediate previously.
Showcase – Must enter this division if you’ve won Advanced or Open previously. Studio owners and advanced instructors welcome to enter this division.
Masters – Must be over 40 to enter this division. May enter if previously won Masters. Studio owners and advanced instructors welcome to enter this division.
Juniors – Must be under the age of 16 as of competition date.
Groups – Any age. Must be 2 or more people on stage at most times. No maximum group members. Maximum 3 people on one pole at any time. Studio owners and advanced instructors welcome to enter this division.
If you have placed in any social amateur competiton you are not permitted to enter any division of this competition. If you have competed but not placed at other competitions please contact us directly to check if you are eligible.
All divisions will be awarded first place and runner up.
